Full course description

Pain is one of the most common medical complaints, with an estimate of one in five adults suffering from pain globally. Although the distribution of pain may vary, such as across ages, there is no significant difference in pain thresholds among ethnic and racial groups. Recent studies show alarming disparities in pain management when comparing the care received by African American and white patients, whether it be the management of chronic or acute pain.
